Since ancient times, it has been a place where merchants from the south of the Yangtze River gathered, where humanities gathered, and where aristocratic families lived. During the Ming Dynasty, it became the city's economic center and an important distribution center for commerce and handicrafts. It was historically the most developed area in Nanjing, presenting a prosperous scene. Now after comprehensive renovation, it has become a cultural district integrating century-old shops, history and culture, leisure and entertainment, and tourist attractions, allowing people to re-experience the charm of Nanjing's old city. 老门东历史街区~位于南京市中华门以东，是国家5A级景区，也曾经是南京传统民居聚集地，自古就是江南商贾云集、人文荟萃、世家大族居住之地。这里在明朝时期成为城市的经济中心，也是重要的商贸和手工业的集散地，历史上是南京城最发达的地区，呈现一派繁华的景象。现在经过全面改造修缮，成为了集百年老店，历史文化、休闲娱乐、旅游景观于一体的文化街区，让人重新感受南京老城的魅力。每年中国春节的新年灯会更是吸引着全世界的游客，今年的蛇年灯会同样让人感到无比惊艳！

The 2025 summer fireworks season has officially started in Japan, and I always kick it off with a trip to my personal favorite, the Katsushika Noryo fireworks festival. This festival happens along the Edogawa river near Kanamachi station. Despite it being one of the larger shows in terms of number of fireworks launched, it's relatively less crowded compared to the other larger festivals because it happens on a Tuesday evening.
